Comments: Silver City groomers have groomed all their trails including 11 and 1 to Lake of the Clouds and from Silver City to White Pine. Snow is thin for the 1st mile on the way to LOC but picks up after that & there\'s good snow and riding on trail 11 up there. On the Ontonagon side, trail 12 to Rockland/Mass City is being groomed... some wet spots, otherwise in pretty good shape. There\'s a lot of logging going on in the Lake Gogebic area so SLOW DOWN when you see signs and trucks!! The groomers continue to work on the trails... northern trails being groomed daily...good conditions.. 102 also has good riding...trail 1 has been groomed and they will groom both sides of the lake as snow permits. The Gogebic Range Trail Authority is grooming trail 2 from Ironwood to Wakefield ...it\'s in pretty good condition...some moguls and a few icy spots in town...and some areas of thin snow but not too bad. They have pulled the groomers on the rest of trails because mild temps softened the bases-and the weight of the groomer was doing more harm than good. The trails are rideable for snowmobiles... on 11N you can get around where the beaver dam was and you\'ll eventually get to better riding to the north. Trail 8 is rideable, but barely. Trail 2 to Marenisco was groomed.. poor to fair with wet spots...and it gets bumpy as you get near town. 11 S is still temporarily closed due to logging. Watersmeet did get some snow - they\'re checking the trails and will pan & groom as soon as they can. In both Gogebic & Ontonagon Counties, do expect early season riding with some wet areas. Be aware Lakes are NOT SAFE to ride! | ||
